“Histoire du Soldat” sticks and mallets set:

A full set of historical reproductions based on the models requested by Stravinsky on the sketches and the 1918 manuscript (Dep RS 75). “ST” stands for “Soldier´s Tale”, “K” stands for “Kapok”. It includes the following sticks and mallets:

Baguette en baleine à tête en feutre dur. A pair of mallets featuring hard pressed felt heads and baleen shafts. Beech handles.

Baguettes de timbales à tête en feutre dur. A pair of timpani sticks featuring cartwheel hard pressed felt heads. Maple tapered handles.

Baguettes en bois. A pair of double-headed regular drum sticks. One featuring a capoc head and the other one a mailloche. Maple.

A critical edition based on the 1918 sketches and manuscript kept at the Rychenberg Stiftung and the Paul Sacher Stiftung. 82 pages containing information never before published (instruments, setup, sticks, techniques, stickings, etc.). This edition gets rid of all the mistakes, errors and misprints perpetuated by the 1924 sources. It provides the reader with a clean, easy to read, true and accurate part. Reproductions of the originals, many diagrams and photos are included. The ultimate edition of Stravinsky´s masterwork.
